Inclusive community
We are a gezelligheids association with common values regarding animals. We are an inclusive and welcoming community to everyone, no matter your current lifestyle! Vegan, vega or omni, if you are interested in veganism you can join. We have around 150 members who signed up to meet like-minded people and have a good time. Every student studying at an Univeristy, HBO or ‘MBO is more than welcome to join us. No longer a student? Become a friend of the association (contact us of details)!
Events
We organize weekly events in and around Utrecht. Our events are centered around creating an entertaining community. Sometimes related to vegan food (potlucks/tastings!), sustainability (cloth/book swaps) and animal rights (activism), while at other times just classic student activities (borrels/parties). Our members have access to all of our events and you are more than welcome to bring your friends, or anyone interested, to our open events! Curious? Come join us at our biweekly borrels at Oproer, every first and third Thursday from 20:00 onwards.

Committees & clubs
We’ve got an amazing crew of active members on our committees! They do great work behind the scenes to keep the wheels of the association turning. The current committees are media, events, podcasts, outreach, and excursion. Interested in joining one? Take a look at our committees here.
Besides committees, we also introduced clubs! They are themed groups of a small number of members, occasionally meeting to do something fun together! Examples are nature & hiking, board games, movies, gardening and music.
Contribution fee
The yearly membership fee is only 15 euros. This money will go to making sure that we can organise awesome events and spread the vegan message.
No obligations
We have no obligatory introduction period (‘ontgroening’) or any other obligations in our student association. You are free to be as committed as you like! The more the merrier, whether you are an active member or just joining us occasionally.
