VIth board: 2025-2026

Josefien de Graaf: President
Hellooo! I am super excited to get to do a board year for the VSA together with these lovely people. Starting my master’s in Neuroscience in Utrecht, I was really grateful to find this welcoming space and I hope to be able to contribute to it! I would love to focus on the openness and inclusivity of the VSA, making sure new members feel at home, as well as fostering the well being of all our members. Next to that I hope we can grow even more as an association, strengthening our bonds with other VSAs and associations in Utrecht.
Yara Roelofsen: Treasurer
Hii lovely people! I’m veryyy excited to serve as treasurer in the VIth board. VSA Utrecht has brought me so much – becoming a member felt like coming home. I have met so many amazing people and created strong friendships within the association. I am super grateful for this warm, welcoming, beautiful community. By becoming part of the VIth board, I want to give back to this wonderful community and welcome new members in the same way I was welcomed <3 My aim is to focus on wellbeing of and connection between members, creating a safe space for sharing, and social safety. One thing I am really excited about is organizing another sharing circle next year.

Laura Bindschedler: Secretary
Hello! My name is Laura, I’m 22, and I moved to Utrecht last year. Thanks to the VSA, I’ve met so many friendly people, I’m very grateful for that! I’m really excited to be the secretary for the VIth board and to share all the amazing activities our committees are organizing in the newsletter (don’t miss it!). My goal is to help strengthen the welcoming atmosphere I was lucky to experience when I first joined the VSA, and to encourage all members to become active, it’s so much fun!
Sophia Noack: Vice-President
I have been a member of the VSA for almost two years now, coming to Utrecht in the first place to join this vegan community. For me, the VSA has become family and I’m beyond grateful for having the chance to invest even more into making this community a safe space and home for more members. My aim is to create more possibilities for new members to connect with others, finding niche interests to bond over, for example in the form of clubs. I also want to focus on internal dynamics and assure that experiences of the good and less comfortable kind within the VSA are validated and heard to create a safe space for everyone.
